We work throughout Surrey and West Sussex — including Fetcham, Bookham, Leatherhead, Ashtead, Banstead, Kingswood, Chipstead, Epsom, Coulsdon, Oxshott and Horsham — as well as the surrounding areas of South West London. Every job, big or small, gets the same level of attention and care.

Who You'll Actually Be Dealing With
When you contact Gould D&F you deal directly with Joseph — not a call centre, and not a different account manager each time you ring. The person who comes out to quote your job is the person who turns up to do it.
That matters more than it sounds. It means nothing is lost between the survey and the first day on site, decisions get made on the spot instead of being referred back to an office, and if something needs discussing you are talking to the person who can actually answer it. It is also the reason we are careful about how much work we take on at once.

How We Work
The process is the same on a single bedroom and on a full house, because it is the part that stops jobs going wrong.
- Free home visit. We come and look at the actual rooms. Measuring properly and seeing the real condition of the surfaces is the only way to quote accurately, which is why we don't give firm prices over the phone.
- Itemised written quote. You get a breakdown of what is being done rather than a single number. On larger projects it is broken down room by room, so you can adjust the scope, phase the work, or drop a room without the whole thing being re-priced.
- An agreed start date. Typically one to two weeks after you accept. For exterior work we also plan around the weather rather than the diary.
- Protection and preparation. Furniture moved and covered and floors protected before anything else. Then filling, sanding and priming — the part nobody sees and the part that decides how the job looks in five years.
- The work itself. We tidy at the end of every day rather than at the end of the job, and tell you what is still wet before we leave.
- A walk-round at the end. We go through the finished work with you and put right anything you are not happy with before we call it done.
If the quote needs to change once work is underway — occasionally something is found behind wallpaper or under old paint — we stop and discuss it with you first. You will not find out about it on the invoice.
What We Do
We cover the full range of painting and decorating work for both homes and commercial premises:
- Interior painting — walls, ceilings, woodwork and joinery.
- Exterior painting — render, pebbledash, brickwork and masonry.
- Wallpapering — feature walls, full rooms, stairwells and complex pattern repeats.
- Residential decorating — whole-home projects, renovation finishing, and preparing a property for sale or let.
- Commercial decorating — offices, retail units, communal areas and rental turnarounds.
- Exterior woodwork & masonry — fascias, soffits, guttering, cladding, windows and doors.
We are fully insured, and happy to provide our documentation before work starts — commercial clients and managing agents usually ask for it as a matter of course.
